Although in the tropics, in the winter months, April to September, it can get cold at night. At this time of the year you are advised to bring a jacket or jumper to night events. The grass terraces are a natural to sit on but you can bring rugs and chairs for more comfort. The venue is glass and alcohol-free and no full bottles of any kind are allowed in. Empty plastic bottles maybe brought in and filled at water taps around the site. A bag-search at the main-gate maintains this rule. Most events are licenced with a range of beers, wines and mixed drinks at the bar. At large events and festivals food is available from the Amphitheatre kitchen or from food stalls, and there is lots of car parks in Kuranda Village - only a short walk from the venue.
